“Tim Sessions became involved with media and entertainment while earning a degree in Communications with an electronic media emphasis at Weber State University and now manages social media for Aptivada in downtown Ogden. With friends he made while working in Alaska he formed an Americana band, Shot in the Mountains, and recently recorded an album of original songs. He manages “This Is Ogden,” a Facebook and Instagram account, which was nominated
for an Indie Ogden award.” – Donalyn Sessions

“Tim is totally dedicated to Ogden. He adopted the area as a young adult when his Dad moved here from Idaho with the Forest Service. He graduated from Weber State University in Communions: Electronic Media. While at Weber Tim hosted a call-in radio show called “Hangin’ With Mr.. Sessions.” He developed a following as far as KWCR could be picked up, answering questions and requests. Since Jr. High in Idaho Tim has been part of a band. He recently produced an album of “Shot in the Mountains,.” a band he formed with a coworker in Alaska where he worked as a tour bus driver and guide. He plays guitar, harmonica, banjo and is a backup singer. The band has performed at the Weber County and Utah State Fairs as well as several venues in Salt Lake and Ogden. Tim has been the emcee for several Ogden events including the Jr. League and Indie Ogden. Tim has also been making videos for some time. While working with social media at the WSU Bookstore, Tim helped with the “Where’s Waldo” series shown at the football games. He is very up on technology and uses Apple products to create special effects. He has several videos on You Tube. Tim manages the “This is Ogden” Facebook and Instagram pages, posting photos that best represent the Ogden area. He participated in the Ogden 52 photo event where is photo was one of the first to sell. Unrelated to entertainment an arts, he ran in the Ogden Marathon the week he got home from his honeymoon.
He works as Social Media director for Aptivada, a company that manages contests for TV and radio accounts. It recently relocated to downtown Ogden. He is civically involved helping local political candidates get their message on Facebook. To show how well rounded he is, he recently completed the requirements for a private pilot’s license.
