“It is with great pleasure and respect that I nominate Mr. Jack Broadbent who is the Organ Program Director at the Piano Gallery located at 5270 Freeway Park Drive Ogden Utah 84405 for the “Forty Under Awards” sponsored by the Standard Examiner. I am nominating him not only for his outstanding leadership, honesty and integrity in Business and Education but his outstanding service, devotion to his students and dedication to Music and Community Service.

Mr. Broadbent is a Music Graduate from Weber State University, has served as a music teacher in Davis School District and is currently the Director of a special program for Senior Citizens age 55 and older. This is a unique program developed by Lowrey Organ and sponsored by the Piano Gallery. The benefits to students in the program have been astounding across the United States and the Ogden Program is one of the most successful. The benefits of the program for these students range from successfully learning to play, building new friendships, reducing stress and improvement and maintenance of better health.

This young man is amazing. He is talented, dedicated to music and his students. The way that he teaches and works with his students, the owners and staff at Piano Gallery, the youth in his church and people in general is exemplary he bridges the generation gap of all ages. He spends countless hours working on materials for lessons, planning fun activities and helpful classes.

I am one of his students in this program and I am only one of many students whose life has been touched and enhanced by Mr. Broadbent. Because of his talent, concern and dedication to his students and music our lives have been lifted mentally, physically and spiritually. He is a devoted husband and father and he and his wife have four children. He is a leader and works with the youth in his Church and has played for various events at the Roy Senior Center.” – Merlene Wixon
